Seems the same thing is starting to happen to me. My phone keeps telling me to insert Sim, if I restart everything is fine for a while only to be bombed out during a call and asked to insert sim again

Good luck with the cancelation. They will do everything in their power to make sure you pay for the cancelation. They charged me over R2000 to cancel even though they were in the wrong!

I just agreed to pay the R1300 on my account. Getting rid of Neotel Services once and for all is worth the cash. In a perfect world Neotel would not charge this cancelation fee considering it is their fault but what can I say…. my guess is this company in going down rapidly so all ethics have flown out the window.

Directly after writing this article Neotel removed the 10GB and 15GB packages from their site. Can’t believe I had to create a whole complaint site just to get them to comply.

12:05PM 02/12/2010: Weltevredenpark 1678kbps up / 185kbps down : Just had a visit by Fabian at Neotel. Still some packed loss so they are going to put up an antenna. Must say Fabian is a hard working guy, wish there were more like him at Neotel

Issues with getting back to customers in a timely manner. Many times they will never call back at all. They are fast to sign up new clients but seem not to resolve the congestion issues
